As a diploma thesis (december 2012), in cooperation with the Company KOKUA (inventor of the Walking-Bike for Kids) a “Holländer” was developed. It was a very popular Toy for Children (4 Years of age) in the fifties. The Holländer was pushed out of the market by the Kettcar. A “Holländer” is being operated by a lever via a mechanical linkage (similar to a draisine). The steerance works with the feet on the front Axis. New is the set-up of the levers and the freewheel. Now the levers can stand still while the Holländer is driving. This minimizes the risk of injury. A freewheel needs a clutch to work properly. This is the function of the Brush in the Back wheel. These and many other features like the sporty sitting position brings a good but outdated Toy to the 21. century.
